Facebook users should be on the lookout for a bogus FREE Shell Gas Card offer. The current links being posted try to bait Facebook users by claiming Shell is giving away free cards to everyone. ( An Example message is shown in the photo attached to this WARNING. ) If you get drawn in by the bogus offer you will end up being led to websites that try to trick you into *Sharing* the spam, then *Liking* some random fan page. Finally you will be told you need to complete surveys/offers to receive the imaginary card. AVOID IT, STAY SAFE!

If you are spreading the spam you need Delete the wall messages you have posted as soon as possible. If you have seen your friends post these free gift card scams, take the time to report the spam to Facebook.

DO NOT click the links given in those types of messages – doing so will lead you into a scam and may cause you to give the “Hackers” and or “Scam Artists” your information so that they are able to break into your account.

Facebook Security, the REAL ONE, does not send chat box messages to ANY Facebook member – and they will never ask you to click a link to confirm your account information, ask for your email address & password or any other personal account information.
