The users of a popular Facebook application named “SchoolFeed” have begun to complain the application appears to have gone rogue. The application is reportedly sending out greetings, recommendations, friend request and messages to people the users of the application do not know. It also appears to be posting weird random messages to users walls and sending them tons of emails.

The BDE has been trying to test the application to see if we can positively confirm the issues, but have found the application to be non-responsive. At this time we recommend Facebook users avoid installing or using the application. If the application is causing issues on your account you should remove it immediately. Please see the resources provided below for information on the app and how to remove it.

-As a general rule of thumb you should Personally review all Facebook applications before you install them. Do not install applications simply because it appears friends have used it and be cautious of Facebook Application that ask for too many “Permissions”.
